All students are invited to join their teachers in a traditional English pub for a fun night out. Enjoy a drink and practise your English in a ‘real’ setting.
Teachers vs. Students during Football Match: Can the students beat the teachers? We arrange football matches so you can find out. Everyone is welcome to play.
Test your skills against teachers and other students on our bowling nights.
We arrange regular trips to some of England’s famous tourist attractions. In the past we have visited:
Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre: This world-famous theatre will take you back to the time of Shakespeare.
The British Museum: An amazing collection from around the world.
The Tate Modern: The best in modern art.
We also take our students on trips to some of the most famous places in England such as Oxford, Brighton & Windsor.
‘When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life’ (Samuel Johnson)
Start your day in London at Westminster, where you can stand on the famous bridge and admire Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. From there it is a short walk to the Prime Minister’s house, so why not see if you can spot Tony Blair?
Continue on to Trafalgar Square, drop into the National Art Gallery for one of the best collections of art in the world. After that, go and see the Queen’s house in London: Buckingham Palace.
By now you are probably hungry, so head for Leicester Square, where there are hundreds of restaurants (look out for film stars attending premieres of their movies!).
Want to do some shopping? Catch a bus to Oxford Street and visit Selfridges. After all that, you just have to decide what to do in the evening… There’s so much to see and do in London and this is just the start….
Friday 11th November - Latest Trip
There was a full school visit to the British Museum on Friday 11th September. All classes were invited so that all the students could enjoy the visit. TLSI North students were asked to meet at school at 9:30am. All students of TLSI Central were asked to meet at school at 9:45am. Everybody met at the entrance of the museum at 10.30am.
The visit was a resounding success. The visit was highly educational and everybody had a lot of fun. It was absolutely fantastic.
Now, the British museum has been free to visit since 1753. It houses one of the greatest collections of human cultural history.
